The Cut & Paste Digital Design Tournament 2009 lands in Portland this Saturday. The Portland Art Museum will host the competitions in 2D, 3D, and Motion Graphics and Bent’s director Nando Costa will be one of the judges for the animation portion. For more information visit Cut & Paste.

Tonight PNCA’s gallery opens a new exhibit to showcase the work of Gary Bialke, who passed away one year ago, and will feature many of his paintings, drawings, illustrations, and sculptures.

The whimsical paintings, drawings and sculptures seen in this show are a sampling of both the personal and commissioned work done in the past ten years. In the realm of commissioned work, Gary worked at several studios including Bent Image Lab, Will Vinton Studios, and others. You can read more about it here.
