Chel White is a visionary director of both live-action and animation. His body of work includes an independent feature film, long form TV, short films, music videos, ads and visual art. He is also a composer and VFX Supervisor for director Gus Van Sant.  White’s projects have shown in nearly every major film festival including Tribeca, Berlin, SXSW and three films at Sundance. A Rockefeller fellow, Chel’s museum screenings include MoMA, The Brooklyn Museum and The Smithsonian. His groundbreaking music video for Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke won Best Music Video at SXSW 2007. His surreal video for David Lynch and Chrysta Bell premiered in the 2012 Woodstock Film Festival. In his films and videos, Chel cites dreams and the subconscious as his greatest influences. Chel White has directed projects for Saturday Night Live, Touchstone, Hallmark and Al Gore. His commercial clients include Nike, Starbucks, Master Card, The American Indian College Fund, and anti-smoking ads for kids. Along with Ray Di Carlo and David Daniels, Chel is a founding partner of BENT.
